According to media reports, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 is expected to be launched in Q4 2024. The motorcycle would carry a price tag of around Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is being said that the Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 would not be as off-road-capable as the current 411cc model. Moreover, it is expected to be made available in two variants. The one with alloy wheels would be a sports-tourer whereas the other with wire-spoke wheels would be an adventure-tourer.
Speaking of wheels, the Himalayan 650 might have a 19-in front wheel and not the 21-in unit that comes fitted in the current Himalayan. Other features would include a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, multiple riding modes, and traction control.
Media reports claim that the design of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 would be similar to that of the current 411cc model. It would also have a higher-mounted exhaust and better brakes. As for the engine, the 649cc, parallel-twin engine from the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 would be used.
As per the available information, when launched, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 would not carry this moniker. RE might use a different name.
