Rumour: Maruti Dzire facelift to get 1.2L Dualjet Engine

Acccording to a media report, the Maruti Dzire facelift could get a 1.2-litre Dualjet VVT petrol engine instead of the 1.2-litre K-Series unit.

The 1.2-litre Dualjet, which was first offered on Baleno and Glanza, produces 89 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 4,400 rpm. The BS6-compliant engine could also come with idle start-stop technology, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

The report states that the updated Dzire could get minor cosmetic changes including a new front bumper, grille, new headlamps and fog lamps. The car might come with features such as ESP, Hill Hold, cruise control, parking sensors, SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, power folding ORVMs among others.
