Renault debuts Kardian SUV for emerging markets

The Renault Kardian is based on a new CMF modular platform and measures 4.12 meters in length.

Renault has revealed a new SUV called the Kardian. It will be sold in emerging markets of the world.

The Renault Kardian is based on a new CMF modular platform. It has been developed for the South American market and is expected to go on sale in Brazil and later in Morocco.

The Kardian measures 4.12 meters in length and comes with a dual-tone exterior. It gets a double-layer front grille flanked by LED daytime running lights, with the headlamps positioned in separate pods. The rear looks similar to the Kiger sold in India, with its C-shaped tail lamp units.

The all-black interior features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.

Renault has introduced a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine on the Kardian. This unit produces 123 BHP and 220 Nm and is mated with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
