Honda has presented the production ready BR-V at the 32nd Thailand motor show, labelling the car an "active sport crossover". The BR-V has made its public debut for the first time, ahead of its official launch in Thailand early next year.
The BR-V features projector headlights with LED position lamps, C-shaped LED tail lights, and 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels. The BR-V is powered by a 1.5L SOHC, 4-cylinder, 16-valve i-VTEC engine that delivers 117 HP @ 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 146 Nm @ 4,700 rpm. The car has so far been seen with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), but 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmissions are expected as well.
The interior design features a cabin with two seating styles: seven seats in three rows with multi-adjustable functions, and five seats in two row configuration with large utility / boot space. Safety feature include dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist (HAS).
Honda also showcased the BR-V with the Modulo accessories kit. The kit adds cosmetic upgrades like front and rear skid plates, side steps, 5-spoke Y-shaped alloy wheels, chrome garnish for the wing mirrors, a large roof spoiler and silver foot pedals.
