Ola, Pawan Munjal invest in Vogo scooter sharing service

Vogo, a scooter sharing startup has announced that it has raised Series A round of funding lead by ANI Technologies (Ola) and Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal. TaxiForSure founder Aprameya Radhakrishna, Blackbuck founder Rajesh Yabaji, founder of Goodbox Mayank Bidawatka and Stellaris Venture Partners & Matrix Partners India have also invested in the company.

Vogo offers dockless scooter rental service for one-way trips across the city. Its mobile app lets customers locate, unlock and pick-up scooters and bikes. The vehicles are equipped with an OTP based IoT sensor that allows users to access the key.

Vogo was founded in 2016 and is currently operational in Bangalore and Hyderabad. The company plans to add over 1,000 pickup points across the two cities in the coming year. According to the company, the Vogo mobile app currently has over 27,000 users.
