New Hyundai Verna interior spied

The next-gen Hyundai Verna has been spotted yet again. Among pictures in the latest set of spy images, is one of the car's interior.

The image suggests that new Verna gets a dual-tone (black and beige) dashboard. It features a silver finish around the air-conditioning vents and controls for the infotainment system. The car also gets a multifunction steering wheel with silver inserts around the horn pad and the steering-mounted controls. The engine start/stop button is placed on the dashboard just next to the centre console. The car comes with a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment is clearly visible in this image while the rotary knobs for the automatic climate control can be seen on the lower part of the centre fascia. 

The new Verna is expected to get features such as cruise control, automatic headlamps, ventilated front seats, sunroof, 6 airbags and rear parking sensors. 

The Verna is likely to come with a new chrome-lined grille, projector headlights with cornering lamps, LED DRLs, shark fin antenna and 16-inch alloy wheels. It is is based on Hyundai's K2 platform, which also underpins the Elantra. It measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width and 1,475 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm (30 mm longer than the outgoing model). Boot capacity has also increased by 20 litres to 480 litres. 

The new Verna is expected to be be available with a 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 121 BHP and 152 Nm of torque. A 1.6-litre diesel engine with 126 BHP and churning out 260 Nm of torque is also expected be on offer. Both engines are likely to be offered with choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The new Hyundai Verna is scheduled to be launched on August 22, 2017 and pre-bookings can be made for an amount of Rs. 25,000.
