Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 launched in India at Rs. 1.58 crore

Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG GLS 63 in India at a price of Rs. 1.58 crore (ex-showroom, Pune).

On the outside, Mercedes has added a few cosmetic elements to differentiate the AMG model from the regular GLS. These include the AMG body kit, a new front bumper with larger air dam, red brake callipers, 21-inch AMG cross-spoke alloy wheels and mirror package with brand logo projection.

The interiors get AMG labels across the cabin and a new AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in black Nappa leather. Features on offer with the GLS 63 include temperature-controlled cup holders, front seats with massage function, automatic climate control, electrically operated tailgate and a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system.

The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 is powered by a 5.5-litre, V8 biturbo engine that develops 577 BHP and 760 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a revised 7G-TRONIC gearbox. The SUV also comes with AMG ride control sports suspension and active curve system roll stabilization. Mercedes claims that the AMG GLS 63 can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds.
