McLaren 750S launched at Rs 5.91 crore

The 750S was introduced as a replacement for the 720S in April last year.

The McLaren 750S has been launched in India. The supercar is priced at Rs 5.91 crore (ex-showroom).

The 750S was introduced as a replacement for the 720S in April last year. While it looks similar, McLaren has made subtle changes to the exterior. The 750S gets a redesigned front bumper with a larger splitter, louvres on the fenders, a redesigned rear section with an active spoiler and a new exhaust.

Those familiar with the 720S will find the interior of the 750S quite similar. It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, which offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The supercar is also equipped with a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera and a Bowers and Wilkins audio system.

But you don’t buy a 750S for its features, right? McLaren has tweaked the engine, which has resulted in a higher overall output. The car also weighs 30 kg less than before.

At its heart is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which now produces 740 BHP and 800 Nm. The engine is mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which sends power to the rear axle. McLaren claims a 0-100 km/h time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 331 km/h.
