No, we won't bore you with another cliché about how popular compact SUVs are, but do note that the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has registered over 20,000 bookings thus far. Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will start deliveries of the Vitara Brezza from March 25, 2016.
Unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Vitara Brezza was formally launched on March 8, 2016 in 7 diesel engine-equipped variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 6.99 lakh to Rs. 9.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Vitara Brezza is powered by the familiar 1.3-litre (DDiS 200), 4-cylinder, Fiat-sourced diesel engine that produces 89 BHP (@ 4,000 rpm) and 200 Nm of torque (@ 1,750 rpm). The car is available with a two-wheel drive configuration only and the power is transmitted to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
A driver airbag is standard across the range while the LDi (O), VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+ get a passenger airbag and ABS with EBD as well.Â
Available features include 'Bull Horn' LED light guides at the front and rear, projector headlamps, instrument cluster mood lights, reverse parking sensors with an infographic display, a reversing camera, the SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, AUX/USB/Bluetooth connectivity, 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, steering mounted audio and telephony controls, navigation, voice commands, 60:40 split rear seats, cruise control, an engine start/stop button and automatic climate control among others.
