Maruti partners with AgVa Healthcare to build ventilators

Maruti Suzuki has partnered with AgVa Healthcare to manufacture ventilators. The aim is to scale up production of ventilators and reach a volume of 10,000 units per month. Maruti's suppliers will manufacture masks and other protective equipment.

AgVa Healthcare would handle the technology and performance aspect for the ventilators, while Maruti Suzuki would use its suppliers to produce the required volume of components. Maruti will also use its experience and knowledge to upgrade systems for production and quality control.

Additionally, Maruti would assist to arrange financing, obtain all permissions and approvals required to enable higher production. These services will be provided free of cost to AgVa Healthcare.

Krishna Maruti Limited, joint venture of MSIL with Mr. Ashok Kapur, would be manufacturing 3-ply masks for supply to Haryana and Central governments. Ashok Kapur, Chairman and Managing Director of the company will provide 2 million masks free of cost.

Bharat Seats Limited, a joint venture of MSIL with the Relan family, would manufacture protective clothing for health workers.
