Maruti launches car subscription options in Hyderabad & Pune

Subscription charges for a Swift LXi start at Rs. 15,354 per month.

Maruti has partnered with Orix to launch its car subscription program - Maruti Suzuki Subscribe in Hyderabad and Pune.

Maruti Suzuki Subscribe allows a customer to use a brand new car for a monthly fee that covers maintenance with roadside assistance and insurance. It also includes road tax, registration charges and zero dep insurance coverage. Customers can choose from a wide range of cars including the Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, Baleno, XL6 and Ciaz.

The program offers cars with private registration in the name of the subscriber for subscription tenure of either 24, 36 or 48 months. Monthly subscription charges start at Rs. 15,479 (including taxes) for the Swift LXi in Hyderabad and Rs. 15,354 (including taxes) in Pune for 48 months tenure.

After the completion of subscription tenure, the customer can also opt to upgrade the vehicle, extend or buy the car at market price.

Initially, the subscription program was launched on a pilot basis in these cities. According to Maruti, during the first weeks of the pilot launch, it received over 5,000 enquiries.

Maruti aims to launch its car subscription service in 40-60 cities in the next 2-3 years.
