Maruti to bring Vitara Brezza, Ignis, Baleno RS to Auto Expo

Maruti Suzuki has announced its plans for the 2016 Auto Expo, which will be held in February at Greater Noida. The company's pavilion will be built around the theme "Transformotion" - which means Transformation through Motion.

Here's a look at some of the products that will be showcased:

Vitara Brezza - The global unveil of the Vitara Brezza is scheduled to be held on February 3, 2016. Maruti has been testing this vehicle in India for more than a year now. The car has been designed and engineered by the Maruti Suzuki development team led by Chief Engineer Mr. CV Raman. It is likely to be powered by Maruti's current range of petrol and diesel engines. The company is also rumoured to be developing a 1.5-litre diesel for the Vitara Brezza. It could be used at a later stage.

Concept Ignis - The Ignis was revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2015 (click here to read report). It will be unveiled here on February 4, 2016. There have been rumours that Maruti is considering a production version of the car for India. It could be launched during the festive season of 2016 and is likely to be sold through the NEXA dealership network.

Baleno RS Concept - The Baleno RS Concept is a sporty version of the Baleno hatchback and features some cosmetic & mechanical changes. The car is powered by a 1.0-litre, turbocharged BoosterJet petrol engine, which is rumoured to develop 110 BHP and 170 Nm of torque. Maruti has already started testing it on our roads (click here to read report). It would be nice to have a launch of this more powerful version here.
