Mahindra XUV700 leaked ahead of launch

The Mahindra XUV700 could be launched on October 2, 2021.

We have seen numerous spy images of the XUV700 till now. But these have mostly been of camouflaged test mules. Now, here's a set of images that give us a proper look at the XUV700 in its production form.

The latest leaked images feature the new XUV700 finished in a metallic brown shade. The car has a new design grille with large LED headlights with striking LED daytime running lights that we've seen on test mules before. The front bumper houses a pair of LED fog lamps.

The side profile of the XUV700 is reminiscent of its predecessor. The biggest change here is the flush-fitting door handles. The rear end is dominated by large L-shaped tail lamp clusters, which from this angle looks a bit bulky.

Mahindra XUV700 feature highlights:

The XUV700 will be loaded with features including a panoramic sunroof, which is claimed to be the biggest in the segment, a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system in a Mercedes-like dual-screen layout, automatic climate control and wireless smartphone charging; among others.

Moreover, the car will also get an Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS), driver drowsiness detection system, auto booster headlamps and personalized safety alerts.

Mahindra XUV700 engine options:

The XUV700 will be offered with a choice of two engines - a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol producing around 197 BHP and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel with an expected output of 182 BHP, making it the most powerful offering in the segment. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

Mahindra XUV700 expected launch date:

Rumours suggest that the XUV700 could be launched on October 2, 2021. Whether the SUV will be unveiled on August 15, remains to be seen.

It is said that the production of the SUV commenced on July 23, 2021. More than 100 cars have been built in the first couple of days of production, mostly painted in black and white shades. Also, the first batch of cars is said to be sporting the old Mahindra logo.
