LuxeCamper premium motor home unveiled

Bangalore-based start-up Campervan Camps and Holidays has unveiled what is claimed to be India's first commercially approved premium motor home called LuxeCamper.

The LuxeCamper has been approved by the ARAI as per AIS 124 standards. The motor home can accommodate four people and has living and sleeping areas as well as a lounge that can be converted into a queen bed. A motorized suspended queen bed has been provided at the front. It also has thermal controls for both heating and cooling. It has a wardrobe, kitchenette with induction, stove and gas hobs, toaster, electric kettle, a microwave oven, fridge and freezer.

The LuxeCamper comes with rooftop solar panels that charge the inverter batteries. It has a skylight, five bi-directional fans, hot / cold shower, toilet, 2 smart televisions and a Bluetooth music system. It also comes equipped safety features such as 360-degree cameras, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, speed governor and a GPS tracker.

The LuxeCamper has 4G Wi-Fi, 230V A/C power sockets and USB charging points. It comes with an outdoor barbecue connection, an external shower, a sleek awning with wind sensors and a bicycle rack.

The company's founder Tiger Ramesh has also built a platform that allows guests to select recommended trails and customize and configure their own trails to various destinations. The company has partnered with small lodges, homestays and campsites located near beaches, historical monuments, hill stations and wildlife safari spots. At present, it offers travel packages to select locations in Karnataka. These include campsites at Aanejari, Bandipur, Bheemeshwari, Hampi, Kabini, Kodagu, Kudremukha, Sadashivgad, Sakleshpur, Sakrebyle and Sitanandi.
