Kia claims to have received 7,738 orders for the Carens in just 24 hours since bookings opened on January 14, 2022. It is said to be the highest first-day bookings the company has received since its foray into the Indian market.
The Kia Carens is available in five trims - Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus, in either 6 or 7-seat configuration.
The Carens comes with the same powertrain options as the Seltos. These include a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 113 BHP and 144 Nm, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with 138 BHP and 242 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The variant-wise pricing for the Carens will be announced in February 2022.
