Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary edition launched in India

The limited edition has been built to commemorate 50 years of the iconic Z1 motorcycle.

Kawasaki has launched the Z650RS 50th Anniversary edition in India. The bike is priced at Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Only 20 units will be brought to the Indian market.

The Z650RS 50th Anniversary edition has been built to commemorate 50 years of the iconic Z1 motorcycle. It comes in a special Firecracker Red colour scheme. The bike features gold alloy wheels that add a nice contrast.

Powering the special edition is the same 649cc, parallel-twin engine as on the standard Z650RS. It produces 67 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm @ 6,700 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike gets a 41 mm telescopic fork suspension at the front and a horizontal back-link with preload adjustability at the rear. 300 mm dual front discs and a 220 mm single rear disc handle the braking duties.
