Jaguar introduces XF 2.0 petrol in India

British car maker, Jaguar is now offering its XF saloon with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine in India. Until now, the XF has been available only with a 5.0-litre petrol power plant in naturally aspitared or supercharged form and two diesel motors of 2.2-litre and 3.0-litre capacities. The introduction of the 2.0-litre petrol unit will allow the company to price the car closer to its rivals with similar engine capacities.

The XF 2.0 petrol is powered by a turbocharged, EcoBoost unit, sourced from Ford, which develops 237 hp and 340 Nm of torque, coupled to an 8-speed, ZF automatic gearbox. Jaguar claims that the car can do 0-100 kph in 7.9 seconds and touch an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph. The car is said to return 10.8 km per litre of petrol.

Jaguar is offering equipment such as rear view camera, TV tuner, full size spare wheel, sun-roof and navigation as standard on the XF 2.0 petrol.

Along with the entire range of Jaguar cars, the XF 2.0 petrol is available through nineteen outlets in seventeen cities across the country and has a pre-octroi price of Rs. 48.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
