India's Coffee Day Rally to be a part of 2015 FIA Asia Cup

The Coffee Day Rally has been included as a round of the 2015 FIA Asia Cup. The rally will be held from December 11-13, 2015 at Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka.

The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) had run the 2013 Coffee Day Rally as a contender event for a round of the 2014 Asia Cup. However, the dates allotted clashed with the general elections and then the monsoon season and as a result, FMSCI declined hosting the event last year. This year, the dates allotted fall after the monsoon, which will make it possible for FMSCI to host the event.

The Asia Cup is run as part of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship and consists of four rounds to be held in Malaysia, Japan, China and India, in that order.
