Hyundai is installing ultra-high-speed public EV charging stations across key highways and cities in India. The first two charging stations located have become operational from February 1, 2023. These are located at Narketpalle on the Hyderabad-Vijaywada highway and Kurukshetra on the Delhi-Chandigarh section.
The newly installed EV charging stations are equipped with a 150 kW DC ultra-fast charger and a 60 kW DC high-speed charger. According to Hyundai, the locations have been selected depending on the availability of amenities like coffee shops and restaurants.
Hyundai EV owners will be able to access these chargers via the myHyundai App. Using the app, customers will be able to locate and pre-book charging slots, monitor the charging status and make digital payments.
Hyundai plans to install 10 ultra-fast public charging stations in India in the first half of 2023. The network will be expanded to other highways such as Delhi-Jaipur, Mumbai-Pune and Bengaluru- Chennai; and cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
