Hyundai has launched the Elantra facelift in India. The car is available in four variants with prices starting at Rs. 15.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
The refreshed Elantra gets a redesigned hexagonal grille with triangular LED headlamps on either side with V-shaped LED DRLs. The car's front bumper houses triangular fog lamps. The Elantra has a coupe-like side profile with blacked-out B-pillars and ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators. At the rear, the car gets a redesigned boot lid and wraparound LED tail-lights.
On the inside, the new Elantra gets a reworked dashboard with an 8-inch touchscreen head-unit that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre. Other features include 2-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, 10-way adjustable driver's seat, hands-free tailgate, electric sunroof and cruise control.
The new Elantra is powered by a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 192 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine comes mated with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
Some of the safety features offered on the car include ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, stability control, front parking sensors and hill start assist.
The Hyundai Elantra is available in five colour options - Marina Blue, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black and Fiery Red.
