Hyundai has announced that it will launch the Elantra facelift in India on October 3, 2019. The company has started accepting bookings for the car.
The refreshed Elantra gets a redesigned hexagonal grille with triangular LED headlamps on either side with V-shaped LED DRLs. The car's front bumper houses triangular fog lamps. The Elantra has a coupe-like side profile with blacked-out B-pillars and ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators. At the rear, the car gets a redesigned boot lid and wraparound LED tail lights.
On the inside, the new Elantra gets a reworked dashboard with an 8-inch touchscreen head-unit that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre.
The Elantra is likely to be offered in three variants - S, SX and SX(O). The base variant is likely to get projector headlamps with bulb type daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear disc brakes, 7-inch touchscreen head-unit, multi-function steering wheel, electric ORVMs with turn-indicators, height adjustable driver seat and front centre arm rest.
In addition to the aforementioned features, the SX trim could get an 8-inch touchscreen head-unit with Hyundai Blue Link and an 8-speaker audio system. The top-end variant is expected to be offered with a TPMS with a display on the MID, LED quad projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, wireless charging, front parking sensors, ventilated front seats and 10-way power adjustable driver seat.
