Honda WR-V (Jazz-based Crossover) revealed in official sketch

Honda has released an official sketch of its upcoming Jazz-based crossover, the WR-V. It is expected to mark its Global Premiere at the 2016 São Paulo International Motor Show, which is scheduled from November 10 - November 20, 2016.

According to the released sketch, the WR-V is expected to get a massive front bumper area that houses the larger air dam. The front-grille gets a chrome bar in the centre, which is similar to the ones found on various other models in the automaker's portfolio. Interestingly, the sketch also reveals that Honda has designed a new set of headlights for the WR-V, instead of borrowing it from the Jazz. In order to add crossover characteristics, the car has been given black body cladding on the wheel arches and the lower side of the doors. The rear end of the car isn’t visible in the official image, though previous spy shots have indicated at a completely redesigned tailgate, with the number plate housing moving to the bumper.

The interiors of the car will likely be similar to that of the Jazz. It will first be launched in Brazil, while an Indian debut will take place next year. The Brazil-spec car will be powered by a 1.5-litre flex-fuel engine, mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT unit. However, the WR-V in India will most likely make use of the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engines from the Jazz.
