Honda Brio facelift launch in early October

Honda is planning to launch the facelifted Brio hatchback in early October. The Brio facelift will feature various changes on the outside as well as inside of the car, similar to what was seen on the recently launched Amaze facelift. The car has already started reaching dealerships, as per earlier spy shots.

On the outside, the Brio facelift is expected to get a revamped front fascia, with a new bumper, beefier foglamp housings and a larger air dam. The front grille will now be finished in piano black with chrome lining on the lower edge, similar to what is offered with the new Honda Jazz. No major changes will be made on the side or rear profiles of the hatchback.

The biggest update is on the inside of the car, as the Brio facelift will come with a new all-black dashboard (same as that of the Amaze facelift). It will thus get a vertically stacked centre console with piano black detailing. Silver inserts will be added near the A/C vents and the passenger-side dashboard area. Features on offer will include a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, steering mounted audio controls, Honda Connect mobile services and automatic climate control.

The facelifted Brio will only feature cosmetic updates; no mechanical updates will be made. It will continue to be powered by a 1.2-litre, i-VTEC, four-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of generating 87 BHP and 109 Nm of torque. Transmission options on offer will include a 5-speed manual and the CVT automatic.
