Hero MotoCorp has registered the highest ever sales in a single month. The bike maker sold 8,06,848 units of motorcycles and scooters in October 2020.
Hero MotoCorp reported double-digit growth of 35% compared to the same month of the previous year. In October 2019, the company had sold 5,99,248 units.
The bike maker sold 7,32,498 motorcycles and 74,350 scooters last month. The domestic sales stood at 7,91,137 units, while 15,711 units were exported.
Positive customer sentiment and resumption of supply chain, logistics and business operations post the Covid-19 lockdown are said have enabled the company to achieve the record sales. It has also resulted in the bike maker gaining some market share in the second quarter of this year.
Last month, Hero MotoCorp also signed license and distribution agreements with Harley-Davidson. The company will sell and service Harley-Davidson bikes in India and will also develop a range of premium bikes under the Harley-Davidson brand name.
