A new video has emerged online that supposedly reveals an upcoming fully-faired Hero motorcycle. While the exact identity of the bike is unknown, it is believed that this could be a faired version of the Xtreme 200R.
The bike has a wraparound headlamp which is surrounded by black plastic trim. It has a short windscreen equipped with a license plate holder and a digital instrument cluster. The bike appears to have conventional telescopic fork suspension at the front and a single side-mounted exhaust, which looks similar to the one on the Xtreme 200R. Similarly, the alloy wheels also look identical to those offered on the Xtreme 200R.
If the bike is indeed based on the Xtreme 200R, then it could be powered by the same 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops 18 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine could be mated to a 5-speed transmission. As per the spy video, the bike is likely to get a front disc brake equipped with ABS. Like the Xtreme 200R, it could also get a 220 mm rear disc brake.
