Ford to launch new Figo hatchback on September 23, 2015

Ford is gearing up to introduce the new Figo hatchback in India. The company has announced that it will launch the car on September 23, 2015.

The Figo hatchback follows the same design language as the Aspire compact sedan. It is also likely to share the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with its sibling.

Ford is expected to equip the car with the same features as the Aspire. These include Ford MyKey, a mobile dock (on lower variants), an infotainment system with Ford SYNC, climate control and electronic folding mirrors, among others. Safety features such as airbags and ABS are also expected to be available.

In its first month, Ford managed to sell more than 5,000 units of the Aspire. The company will be hoping that the hatchback will manage to put up a good show as well.

The Figo hatchback replaces the old Figo hatchback, which went out of production earlier this month.
