Ford Figo facelift launched at Rs. 5.15 lakh

Ford has launched the Figo facelift in the Indian market. The updated model is available with three engine options and trim levels and is priced from Rs. 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Ford Figo measures 3,941 mm in length, 1,704 mm in width, 1,525 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,490 mm. The car weighs between 1,016-1078 kg depending on the choice of powertrain. The petrol version is fitted with a 42-litre fuel tank, while the diesel version gets a 40-litre fuel tank.

The new Figo comes with a revised grille, headlamps, redesigned front bumper with chrome trim around the fog lamps and a new rear bumper. The newly introduced Titanium Blu variant gets a black grille with blue trim around the fog lamps, dual-tone roof, black ORVMs, rear spoiler, decals and 15-inch alloy wheels. 

Inside, the new Figo features an updated dashboard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The Titanium Blu variant gets blue themed interiors with blue trim pieces and comes equipped with features such as automatic climate control, electric ORVMs, engine start/stop button, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps among others.

The new Figo is available with three engine options. These include a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol which makes 95 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 120 Nm of torque @ 4,250 rpm and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with 99 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 215 Nm @ 1,750-3,000 rpm. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed automatic gearbox is available with a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 121 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm @ 4,500 rpm.

Safety features like driver and passenger side airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors are available across all variants. Rear view camera is available on the Titanium and Titanium Blu trims. The latter also gets a perimeter alarm and side and curtain airbags. ESP, traction control and Hill Launch Assist is available on the automatic version only.
