The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has approached the Supreme Court of India seeking an extension for the sale of BS4 vehicles till May 31, 2020.
In February 2020, the apex court had rejected a similar application by FADA, which was filed due slowing sales and unsold BS4 inventory. According to FADA, since then, circumstances have changed following the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The pandemic is said to have resulted in a drastic drop in sales and customer walk-ins. Counter sales are said to have fallen by 60-70% across dealerships in the past few days.
