Bajaj has launched a 180cc version of its Avenger Street cruiser bike at a price of Rs. 83,475 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The Avenger Street 180 replaces the Street 150.
The Avenger Street 180 measures 2,210 mm in overall length, 806 mm in width and 1,070 mm in height. The wheelbase of the bike is 1,480 mm and it has a ground clearance of 169 mm. The bike weighs 150 kg (kerb weight) and comes with a 13-litre fuel tank.
Like the 2018 Street 220 and Cruise 220 which were launched last month, the Street 180 gets the redesigned headlamp with an integrated LED DRL, while a black translucent visor wraps around a single-pod instrument cluster. The bike comes with new graphics and the engine, crankcase and exhaust are painted in black. The Street series comes with black 12-spoke alloy wheels and telescopic front suspension with rubber gaiters. The rear features a rubberized grab handle and twin shock absorbers, which Bajaj claims have 12% more travel than the previous models.
The new Avenger Street 180 is powered by a 180cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled DTS-i engine that produces 15.2 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike rides on 17-inch and 15-inch wheels in the front and rear respectively. Brakes come in the form of a 260 mm front disc and a 130 mm drum in the rear.
