Audi RS5 Coupe launched at Rs.1.1 crore

The second-generation Audi RS5 Coupe has been launched in India. The two-door coupe is priced at Rs. 1,10,65,000 (ex-showroom, India).

The new RS5 measures 4,723 mm in overall length and has a wheelbase of 2,766 mm. It has a 465-litre boot and comes with a 58-litre fuel tank.

The RS5 Coupe sits at the top of the new A5 family. The RS5 adopts more aggressive styling cues that set it apart from the standard A5. The front grille has a hexagonal mesh design and a gloss black frame flanked by Matrix LED headlamps. The front bumper has large intakes on both sides and a pronounced carbon fibre lip spoiler. Moving to the side, the RS5 coupe has pillar-less doors with gloss black trim around the windows. It has carbon fibre ORVM housings and carbon trim along the doorsills. The rear features LED tail lights and a unique rear bumper with an integrated carbon diffuser and twin oval exhaust tips. The RS5 rides on 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels.

On the inside, the RS5 Coupe gets leather interiors with RS sports seats and a black dashboard with carbon fibre trim. It has a 3-spoke, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and Audi's Virtual Cockpit. The center console houses an Audi MMI touchscreen infotainment system.

The Audi RS5 Coupe is powered by a 2.9-litre, twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 444 BHP @ 5,700-6,700 rpm and a peak torque of 600 Nm @ 1,900-5,000 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifts and Quattro all-wheel drive system. It has three driving modes - Auto, Comfort and Dynamic. Audi claims that the RS5 Coupe will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

Some of the standard features offered on the RS5 Coupe include 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with torque vectoring, cruise control with automatic start/stop, hill hold assist, parking assist, rear view camera, head-up display, panoramic sunroof among others.
