Aprilia's entry-level scooter offering, the SR 150 is set to go on sale later this month. The company has now officially revealed detailed specifications of their new gearless scooter. Last month, the company had announced price of the Aprilia SR 150, which starts at Rs. 65,000 (ex-showroom).
According to the official spec-sheet, the Aprilia SR 150 is powered by a 154.4 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 11.4 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 11.5 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. This is the same engine that powers its Vespa siblings like the SXL 150 and VXL 150.
Suspension setup on the Aprilia SR 150 consists of a 32 mm hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber on the rear. Braking duties are carried out by a 220 mm disc brake with twin-piston caliper at the front and a 240 mm drum brake at the rear. The SR 150 gets 14-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 120/70 profile tyres at the front and rear.
Aprilia is manufacturing the SR 150 locally at Piaggio's India plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
