Audi India has announced that Indian racer, Aditya Patel, will compete in the Audi R8 LMS Cup 2015. The Audi R8 LMS Cup is based in China and also travels to Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan as a support race to GT Asia and the World Endurance Championship.
This will be Aditya's fourth year with Audi. He will be supported by Audi India, JK Tyres, Amante and Jubilant Motorworks. Aditya is also working together with Audi to find more sponsors this year to be able to do more races such as the 24 hours of Nurburgring and the 24 hours of Spa.
In 2014, Aditya Patel participated in the International GT Open in Europe with team Novadriver from Portugal. Over the course of the championship, the Patel-Campanico duo racked up five podium finishes, which included a win as well as a pole position in qualifying for Patel at Silverstone in UK. Prior to this, the National Racing Champion won races in the JK Racing Asia Series, the Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup and even brought home a victory at the 24 hours of Nurburgring in 2012.
