Maruti Suzuki launched the fourth-generation Dzire in November this year. The popular compact sedan is available in four petrol and two CNG variants. The entry-level VXi CNG trim has now been spotted at a dealership yard for the first time.
The 2024 Maruti Dzire CNG comes in VXi and ZXi variants, priced at Rs 8.74 lakh and Rs 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The former gets a dual-tone interior with a 3-spoke steering wheel and a conventional twin-dial instrument cluster. The centre console houses a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. The VXi variant gets a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro unit instead of a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ system. The CNG variants also miss out on the electric sunroof.
Under the hood is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 69 BHP @ 5,700 rpm and 102 Nm @ 2,900 rpm in CNG mode. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Dzire comes with a 55-litre CNG tank, which, as you can see, is placed in the boot. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 33.73 km/kg.
