2021 Honda CMX1100 Rebel unveiled

The Rebel 1100 shares its twin-cylinder engine and gearbox with the Africa Twin adventure bike.

Honda has unveiled the new CMX1100 Rebel. The bobber-style bike is powered by the same engine and transmission that you get in the Africa Twin.

The Rebel is based on a tubular steel frame. It has been designed for cruising with the seat height pegged at 700 mm. The bike has raised handlebars and a circular LED headlamp.

At its heart is a 1,084cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that produces 85 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 98 Nm @ 4,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission that can also be operated manually via switches mounted on the handlebar. The bike is also available with a conventional manual gearbox.

The Rebel is equipped with 43 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin Showa shock absorbers at the rear. The braking setup consists of a single 330 mm disc at the front and a 256 mm disc at the rear.

The CMX1100 Rebel comes with ride-by-wire and has three riding models – Standard, Sport and Rain. The bike also features Honda Selectable Torque Control, Wheelie Control and ABS.
