Audi has unveiled the fifth-generation A4 facelift. The sedan does not get any mechanical changes and is expected to reach the Indian shores in 2019.
At the front, the facelift A4 gets a new grille and a new bumper with pentagonal air inlets. The air inlets have U-shaped inserts on either sides. The rear comes with a new diffuser and new trapezoidal exhaust pipes. The sedan gets a choice of 16 to 19-inch alloy wheels. The lower crease on the rear passenger doors come with the Audi symbol finished in black or silver.
Audi is offering an S line equipment package that comes with features like Audi Sport 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, sport suspension, LED headlights and a new Turbo Blue paint finish. On the inside, the package offers a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and partial leather sports seats.
In India, the current Audi A4 is offered with a 1.4-litre petrol engine or a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol produces 148 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, while the diesel produces 188 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The same engine and transmission options are expected to continue on the facelift model in India.
