2018 Suzuki GSX-S750 launched at Rs. 7.45 lakh

Suzuki has launched the GSX-S750 street bike in India. It is priced at Rs. 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in 2 colour options - Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black and Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red. The GSX-S750 will be bought in via the CKD route and will be assembled locally.

The Suzuki GSX-S750 is a naked street bike. It measures 2,125 mm in length, 785 mm in width and 1,055 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 1,455 mm and the seat height is set at 820 mm. It has 16-litre fuel tank.

The GSX-S750 has a V-shaped headlamp with position lights placed on either side of the fairing. The fairing also houses an LCD instrument panel. Unlike most bikes in this segment, the GSX-S750 has conventional handlebars instead of clip-on units. Moving to the rear, the bike has a split seat and a side-mounted exhaust muffler with a silver heat shield. The GSX-S750 uses KYB inverted telescopic front forks and has a monoshock in the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black. Similarly, the engine and crankcase is also painted black with a fairing placed underneath.

The GSX-S750 is powered by a 749 cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 113 BHP @ 10,500 rpm and 81 Nm of torque @ 9,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Twin 310 mm petal-type discs in the front with 4-piston calipers each and a single petal type disc in the rear handle the braking duties. It has ABS and a 3-mode traction control system. The bike also has a feature called low RPM assist that prevents the engine RPMs to drop below a certain level. The system monitors engine speed and enables the rider to pull away from a standstill without having to twist the throttle, just by releasing the clutch.

The Suzuki GSX-S750 will lock horns with the Kawasaki Z900 which is priced at Rs. 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
