2018 Hero HF Dawn commuter bike launched at Rs. 37,400

Hero MotoCorp has re-launched the HF Dawn in India after it was discontinued back in May 2017. Unlike the previous model, the 2018 HF Dawn is BS-IV compliant. It is priced at Rs. 37,400 (ex-showroom, Odisha). Initially, the commuter bike will only be available in the state of Odisha. 

The new Hero HF Dawn is based on a tubular double cradle frame. It measures 1,965 mm in length while its overall width and height is 720 mm and 1,045 mm respectively. The wheelbase of the bike is 1,235 mm and it weighs 105 kg (kerb weight). Fuel tank capacity is 9.5 litres.

The new HF Dawn is available in two colour options - Black and Red. The bike features a circular headlamp finished in black and wire-spoke wheels with a blackened rim and hub. The engine and exhaust are also finished in black. The bike gets telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers along with a flat seat and a black rear grab handle. The instrument cluster has a basic twin-pod layout.

The bike is powered by the same 97.2 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.25 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 8.05 Nm @ 5,000 rpm. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox and kick-start. Brakes come in the form of a 130 mm drum in the front and a 110 mm drum in the rear.
