2015 Mini convertible spied undisguised

The 2015 Mini convertible has been spied on test sans camouflage. Based on the recently launched new Mini 3-door, the convertible will be among the 5 products that Mini plans to include in its line-up.

In 2014, the BMW subsidiary confirmed that its product range would be brought down to 5 models from 8. The soft top 3-door will be the fifth product in the brand's line-up, after the Paceman, Coupe and Roadster are phased out. Save for the folding roof, there will be few differences between the regular hard top 3-door and the convertible. Rear seat space will probably be compromised in the soft-top, to accommodate the roof.

Recently, sketches of a 2-door roadster emerged as well. The sketch was of a car largely based on the Superleggera Vision Concept that was showcased at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Reports suggest that the sketch had been filed by Mini at the European patent office. However, MINI has denied any connection with the image, and the production of the said model is speculation for now.
