Upgraded to the Slavia's 16 inch rims on my Kushaq Ambition variant

I got these wheels for 37k and sold my Ambition wheels on OLX for 27k. So, the upgrade costed me 10k.

Finally, finally, finally, I managed to get hold of a good set of Slavia wheels for my Kushaq 1.0 Ambition. For those, who don't know, the Ambition variant comes with 16" wheels, with a width of 6 inches (6J).

I had previously purchased an aftermarket set of wheels with a width of 6.5J, and I immediately noted the difference in ride comfort. For me, ride comfort is pretty important, so I switched back to the stock wheels and sold the aftermarket wheels for a loss of a couple of thousands.

There aren't any aftermarket wheels with 6J width. 6.5J has a few options and 7J there are aplenty. So, switching to aftermarket wheels, which are always wider, was now out of the question.

When the Slavia came out, I noted that it has 16" wheels with 6J width. I liked the design too. I thought of purchasing new ones, but, at 48k (both Boodmo and the dealership), I found them a bit expensive.

I know several people get rid of stock wheels and upsize immediately after purchase. And I was on the lookout for such wheels on Olx. I used to check Olx every couple of weeks. A couple of months back, Slavia wheels surfaced in Noida. But, they were full of scratches. So, my search continued for a better set. Last month, another set appeared on Olx. This gentleman from Delhi was a true car lover. I saw his Slavia, with black vinyl wrap, 19" wheels, free flow, tuned ECU and what not. So, when he said he immediately replaced his wheels, I believed him. There were hardly any scratches.

Benefits of OEM wheels are simple. They are tough, reliable and won't spoil the ride quality. Obviously, they won't look good as 17 inchers, but for the sake of ride comfort, I am willing to sacrifice the look. Sharing a couple of pictures of my Kushaq. Here she is, after completing a trip of a thousand kilometres.
