Triumph launches 10 models in India

Iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph, has announced it's arrival in India with the launch of 10 models, ranging from Rs. 5.7 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 6 out of the 10 models will be brought in from Thailand as CKD kits and assembled in India at Triumph’s Manesar facility, while 4 will be imported as completely-built units (CBU).

While Triumph will open its showrooms in Bangalore and Hyderabad in December, the Delhi and Mumbai showrooms will be made operational in January 2014. The company aims to expand its dealer network to other cities like Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, and Chennai by March 2014.

Bookings start in the second week of December and deliveries are expected to begin in the first week of January.

CKD range

  • Bonneville (Classic category, 865 cc, parallel-twin) – Rs. 5.7 lakh
  • Bonneville T100 (Classic category, 865 cc, parallel-twin) – Rs. 6.6 lakh
  • Thruxton (Classic category, 865 cc parallel-twin) – Rs. 6.7 lakh
  • Speed Triple ABS (Roadster category, 1050 cc, 3-cylinder) – Rs. 10.4 lakh
  • Street Triple ABS (Roadster category, 675 cc, 3-cylinder) – Rs. 7.5 lakh
  • Daytona 675R (Supersports category, 675 cc, 3-cylinder) – Rs. 11.4 lakh

CBU range

  • Tiger 800 XC (Adventure category, 799 cc, 3-cylinder) – Rs. 12lakh
  • Tiger Explorer (Adventure category, 1215 cc, 3-cylinder) – Rs. 17.9 lakh
  • Rocket III Roadster (Cruiser category, 2294 cc, 3-cylinder) – Rs. 20 lakh
  • Thunderbird Storm – (Cruiser category, 1699 cc, parallel-twin) – Rs. 13 lakh

Triumph is offering a 2-years, unlimited mileage warranty on all its bikes.

Additionally, Triumph has launched a full range of accessories, and merchandise which can be purchased at the company’s dealerships.

Triumph has also revealed its plans to launch a 250 cc motorcycle in 2015, which will be built in India.
