Suzuki files turbocharged motorcycle patents?

The days of forced induction are upon us and after Kawasaki presented the supercharged Ninja H2 and H2R, Suzuki has reportedly filed patents for a turbocharged motorcycle. The Japanese automaker revealed the Recursion concept at the 2013 Tokyo motor show. Rumours of the bike entering production were denied by Suzuki early on, but it now appears the company has filed patents for a turbocharged motorcycle, with the United States Patent and Trademark Office being cited as the source.

The Recursion concept used a 588cc parallel twin engine which along with a single turbocharger, had its power boosted up to 99 BHP @ 8,000 rpm, with the peak torque of just over 100 Nm being delivered at a lowly 4,500 rpm.

Suzuki has yet to confirm their plans for such a motorcycle. The bike may not necessarily be a production version of the Recursion itself, but could be the product of a new Suzuki platform.
