Scoop: 2015 Hyundai Verna spotted testing in India

Ever since its launch in 2011, Hyundai's fluidic Verna has caught the fancy of several households in India, due to its flamboyant design and feature rich proposition. 3 years after dominating its segment, Hyundai is gearing up to challenge the current segment leader - the Honda City and the upcoming Maruti Ciaz. Motorbeam has caught a camouflaged 2015 Verna on the streets of Chennai.

The 2015 Verna facelift is supposedly going to appear similar to the Hyundai Solaris (launched in Russia). Expect styling changes to the front and rear of the car, with the overall profile remaining same as the outgoing car. Being a Hyundai, one can expect the car to be loaded with features.

Hyundai is likely to address the weak driving dynamics of the outgoing Verna, similar to what they did with the Elite i20. Previously, the company had silently tweaked the suspension of the 2012 car and they are likely to improve it in the 2015 car.

The Verna might continue to be offered with 4 engine options - 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre petrol and diesel engines with the option of a manual and an automatic gearbox on the 1.6 litre engines. This upgrade Verna is likely to hit the showrooms by 2015.
