Porsche has introduced a new version of the Panamera to its range in India - the Panamera Diesel Edition. It is powered by a 2,967cc, 6-cylinder diesel engine which produces 248 BHP and 550 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in a claimed 6.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 244 km/h.

Exterior features include gloss black trim strips on the windows and door handles, 19" Panamera Turbo II design alloy wheels (including hub covers with a coloured Porsche logo) and bi-xenon headlights operating with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).

On the inside, the Diesel Edition gets dual-tone, part-leather upholstery finished in Black-Luxor Beige with the Porsche emblem embossed on the headrests. It also gets a 'Sport Design' steering wheel and door sill guards with "Edition" lettering. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 7" touchscreen infotainment system (audio, navigation & communication) and a 585-Watt Bose surround sound system with 14 speakers are also part of the standard equipment.

The Panamera Diesel Edition is now available across all Porsche Centres in India at an ex-showroom (Mumbai) price of just over Rs. 1.04 crore (Rs. 1,04,16,000/-).
