Maruti opens new premium car dealership in Delhi

India’s biggest car maker Maruti Suzuki has gained its crown by selling low cost vehicles. However, this reputation has worked against its premium products in the past. Maruti has already launched the Ciaz and will be bringing in more premium priced products like the Across, YRA and YBA. To market these product better, Maruti will be opening premium car dealerships and has just opened one in Delhi’s Dwarka area.

According the source, the new premium dealership is catering only to Ciaz customers and will add models like the Across, as and when they are launched. The premium car dealerships will offer a more upmarket ambiance in order to extend a similar image to the products being retailed on the showroom floor. Products sold in these dealerships are expected to see starting price of at least Rs 5.50-6 lakh and cross the Rs. 10 lakh price bracket.
