Mahindra Centuro with disc brake spotted testing

Mahindra Two Wheelers had displayed the Centuro motorcycle with a front disc brake at the 2014 Auto Expo held earlier this year. Now it appears that the company has started testing the bike on our roads. Pictures of the bike put up by Overdrive show the Centuro with a petal disc brake on its front wheel. This variant of the bike will be called the O1-D.

Other than the addition of the front disc brake, there are no changes to the Centuro. It continues to use the 106.7 cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5 PS @ 7500 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm and is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The bike comes with a long list of features like remote flip key, anti-theft alarm, engine immobiliser, find me lamps, guide lamps, digital instrumentation with distance to empty meter.

The Mahindra Centuro has been a successful motorcycle for the company. The addition of the front disc brake will broaden the bike's appeal further by making it a safer product.
