Kia Carens India launch on February 15

The Carens will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and the Tata Safari.

Kia India has announced that the prices for the Carens will be announced on February 15, 2022.

The Kia Carens will be offered in five variants - Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus, in either 6 or 7-seat configuration.

The Carens comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an 8-speaker Bose audio system. It also gets features like a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control with an air purifier, retractable rear trays with cupholders, ambient lighting, and a sunroof; among others.

The Carens comes with the same powertrain options as the Seltos. These include a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 113 BHP and 144 Nm, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with 138 BHP and 242 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The Carens is the 3-row version of the Seltos and will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and the Tata Safari.
