Hero Duet brochure leaked ahead of launch

Hero MotoCorp is expected to launch the Duet scooter on September 29. With just days to go for the launch, the product brochure of the scooter has been leaked.

According to the brochure, the Duet is powered by a 110.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine that puts out 8.3 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. It features a self-starter. 

The Duet has a full metal body and a telescopic fork suspension at the front. The scooter measures 1,830 mm in length, 725 mm in width, 1,140 mm in height and has a ground clearance of 155 mm. It comes in two variants - LX and VX. The wheelbase of the LX measures 1,240 mm, while that of the VX is 5 mm longer. The LX and VX have a kerb weight of 115 kg and 116 kg respectively.

Some of the features on the Duet include tubeless tyres, integrated braking, external fuel filler with buzzer, digital-analogue instrument console with service reminder, side stand, mobile charging USB port, under-seat storage lamp, combination lock and front and rear luggage hook.

The Duet will come in six body colours - Panther Metallic Black, Nature Green Metallic, Matt Vernier Grey, Grace Grey Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Pearl Silver White.

Hero is likely to position the Duet against the Honda Activa-i.
