BMW X3 M could be launched by August end

According to a media report, BMW is planning to launch the X3 M in India later this month.

The X3 M is a high performance version of the regular X3. The report states that we may not get the X3 M Competition variant which is available in the intentional market.

The X3 M features a sporty body kit and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels. It has M-specific ORVMs, a roof spoiler and quad-exhausts.

On the inside, the X3 M comes with an M steering wheel and digital instrument cluster. It has features such as a touchscreen infotainment head-unit with gesture control, Apple CarPlay connectivity and wireless smartphone charging.

The X3 M is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, twin-turbo petrol engine that produces 473 BHP and 600 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. BMW claims the SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

This will be the second M car that BMW has launched in India this year. Earlier, the carmaker had introduced the M8 Coupe.
