Can anyone who's recently booked a Hyundai Creta please advise on below:

What is the procedure followed during booking the car? Did you get an SMS/Whatsapp from Hyundai confirming the booking after you've paid the booking amount? How many days did it take for this SMS from the date of booking with the dealer?

I and a few others on the Creta thread haven't received any such SMS from Hyundai even though it's been more than a few months since booking. The only thing we've received is the booking receipt from the dealer for the amount paid at the time.

Kindly help us out. Thanks in advance.

I recently have taken the delivery of my Petrol Manual SX. I received an SMS from Hyundai with a week from the date of booking confirming the same. It took around a month to be delivered. My SA was very helpful throughout with proper updates regarding allotment, PDI and delivery. I had got my own insurance for which they did not fuss at all. Overall a very good experience.

Off topic and on a funny note, what exactly is cow cess? Is it something collected by BBMP/Karnataka Govt for allowing cows to freely roam around in the city roads/highways?

This is my first post so I apologize if I have posted in the wrong thread. Couldn't figure out where to post this question

I booked an Ertiga ZXI AT in the first week of July. The booking was done with Bimal in Yelahanka, Bangalore. At the time of booking I was told the car would be delivered in 2-3 months. Now they are not sure of a delivery date. They are citing the chip shortage as a reason. Has anyone else booked an Ertiga and facing a similar issue? I saw posts where people got their cars within 1-2 months of booking so not sure if this is an industry wide issue.

If I need to escalate this, who do I talk to in the dealership?
