Bit the bullet and booked the S-Cross. They already have the color and variant in transit, so should be delivered by mid February. We checked out a variety of cars ranging from compact SUVs (Ecosport, Vitara Brezza, Nexon) to full sized ones (BR-V, Hexa), and concluded on S-Cross due to space, practicality and VFM.

This one is replacing our Ertiga, which we sold in mid December. Would be complementing our Elite i20 in day to day usage.

I wanted a petrol hatchback mostly for city use backed by fun to drive character. - Plenty of Etna Orange AMTs are lined up for dispatches, strongly indicating a possible mid-March launch for the AMT variant(s).
- Test drove both fuel types for one final time before deciding on the diesel.
- There's a chance that the AMTs might reach dealerships before the third week of March ends, hence if a diesel AMT is available before month-end, I will pick it up. Dealership will try to get the first allotted AMT for me in my chosen colour.
- Colour choice was finalised by all family members. My sole vote for Glasgow Grey got vetoed by a thumping margin.
- Enquired about an OEM/factory-fit option for the sunroof accessory and the dealership has promised to get back to me. As things stand, it might be fitted by an official company guy at the dealership after delivery is given, so a chance for a factory-fit before official dispatch is slim. If that turns out to be the case eventually, I'll drop the thought of getting the sunroof fitted.
- The wrist band activity key (Nexon accessory) could be introduced soon. Pricing is indicated at around Rs 3,800/-.

Moving ahead to book a Tigor XZA (petrol) this weekend at one of the three Tata dealerships in Indore; who ever gives me best deal.
The onroad price quoted is 7.31 (minus the insurance - free till 31st March for all cars & variants).

Have decided to at least not pay the handling & logistic charges, I have got waver confirmation from one of the Sales executives. Not posting the complete detail till Monday, have some arm twisting to do.
